DAMAGE WAIVER

Our optional Damage Waiver provides limited protection against accidental damage to garments during your rental.

The price of the Damage Waiver is scaled according to the garment’s rental price and recommended retail price (RRP) and must be purchased at the time of booking.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

The Damage Waiver covers up to $100 of specialist cleaning costs OR $100 of professional seamstress repair costs resulting from accidental damage during your rental.

The garment must still be treated with reasonable care and returned in an appropriate condition for continued rental.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

The Damage Waiver does not cover or contribute towards:

• Replacement costs for lost, stolen or irreparably damaged garments;
• Loss of income from future rentals;
• Late return fees;
• Damage, staining or excessive soiling resulting from carelessness, misuse or a failure to take reasonable care of the garment;
• Excessive hem soiling; or
• Cleaning or repair costs exceeding the $100 coverage limit.

Excessive hem soiling is considered preventable damage and is specifically excluded from the Damage Waiver. Renters are expected to take reasonable care to prevent floor-length garments from dragging across dirty, wet or damaging surfaces.

Where a garment is lost or deemed irreparable, the applicable replacement cost remains the renter’s responsibility. Further details can be found in Section 6 of our Rental Agreement.

NON-REFUNDABLE

Damage Waiver fees are non-refundable, including where a rental is cancelled or the garment is returned without damage or staining.

By purchasing the Damage Waiver, you acknowledge that it provides limited protection for accidental damage only and does not remove your responsibility to take reasonable care of the garment.
